Sunrisers Hyderabad is currently groping for some grip in a dark place. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians would be trying to build a dominating arena for themselves in this edition of IPL.

David Warner is missing some magic from his side. At the same time, Shreyas Iyer is getting the utmost commitment from his team. So this battle is going to be an excellent watch for the ardent fans. Will the Risers if Hyderabad rises back?

Without getting into so much build-up, let’s get into predictions for the Match No.11 of IPL 2020: SRH vs DC.

Prediction on the top run-scorer

David Warner is yet to make a more significant inning in this tournament. And that makes him a favourite for this match. Furthermore, Delhi Capital’s spinners Axar Patel and Amit Mishra, both being the spinners who would bring the ball towards the left-hander, would never be a bother for David Warner. Speaking of Delhi’s fast bowlers, they are too quick, and that’s what David Warner likes most to face in the middle, being an Aussie opener. Be it Kagiso Rabada or Nortje, David Warner won’t find it challenging to tackle and take the lead against them.

A perfect spin ball batter must be the favourite to play against SRH bowling. As Rashid Khan and Mohammed Nabi being the front line spinners, Delhi batters who are extremely fluent with the spinners will have a great go against the Hyderabad team. On looking at such demands, Shreyas Iyer will be a perfect pick from DC. The Skipper of Delhi knows how to defend the attacking bowlers of SRH and at the same time has a special skill set to play huge innings for his side.

Prediction on top wicket-taker

Since Delhi Capitals possesses three left-handed batters in their batting department, Mohammed Nabi would be a right prediction for picking more number of wickets in this match. The Afghan-based off-spinner is effective with his tight line bowling. Since the middle overs in this tournament are getting slow, the batters would be ready to make some difference in the scenario. This, in turn, would be making Mohammed Nabi a favourite in this list.

Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer knew that they couldn’t go so easily against this bowler as he would be turning and angling the ball away from them. Since the three batters are the core for Delhi’s batting line up, Mohammed Nabi would be the best pick for scalping most number of wickets in this crucial clash for SRH in this tournament.

Other than Nabi, Amit Mishra will have a better choice to uproot the ineffective middle-order batters of SRH. Amit Mishra was getting the loop and rhythm so rightly in the last match. Eventually, It will make him on top of this list.

Prediction on Who will win the match?

Delhi Capitals is having young and fresh batters, who do what suits them a lot. Right from Prithvi Shah till Marcus Stoinis, every batter wants to prove the skill sets behind their names. With Ricky Ponting’s guidance, the young team looks so firm, and they are gathering the experience that they need the most. The players of DC suddenly got the winning attitude. And that’s what separates the current Delhi team from their previous edition’s team. It is not a surprise to witness all the departments of the Delhi team performing well. They have got the seed, and now it’s reaping productive fruits.

Speaking of SRH, they lack the aggressive intent as they had in the last three seasons. The top-order batters are fine with their job. But the middle order is lacking the steam to make a massive score on board. They need an experienced player down in the middle to pull the good start from the top order batters they usually get. In bowling, except Rashid Khan, no other bowlers look so good in the rhythm.

Prediction on the most six-hitting batter:

David Warner is always a player who etches his name in this list when he gets in a roll. When a batsman contains three to five shots for a single delivery, he becomes impenetrable for bowlers in the shorter format. In that sense, Warner can always find places in the field to take the lead with his wide range of shots. And that makes him the lethal batsman to bowl for. On facing the spinners who spin it towards him, would make his job even more comfortable to go over the fence. So this match against Delhi would lay him a better route to get back on to his form.

Another batter who knocks harder for this job would be Rishabh Pant. He did a good job in the last two matches. But this match will provide him with the opportunity to score more sixes as there is no haunting bowler in SRH for him other than Mohammed Nabi.

Prediction on Man of the match:

Marcus Stoinis, who contributes in all three departments, has a better chance to be the winner of the man of the match award for this match. He is in great form with the bat. And most importantly, the luck factor is also working with him. That was what we witnessed in his first match when he bowled the last over of the game. He is someone who is a perfect athlete who seems to be in a healthy condition for a player. Looking upon all these factors, Marcus Stoinis is the right pick.

David Warner is a match-winner. A team player. One can never set him off from a game. But he has not contributed to the team in the last two matches pushes him a point to prove for himself. You can’t control him. He will rise to showcase his contribution to the team.

With DC bowlers are suited for David Warner to take the lead on, much can be expected from the skipper in this match.

To sum up

On the whole, it is a match where DC looks so comfortable, and they have the balance to outwit the opponent’s powers. Especially when compared to SRH, the Delhi team is stepping in as favorites.
